Prompt Response: A time when I struggled with jealousy was with my younger brother, Rowan, who is 13. I love my brother very much, but I struggle with the idea that he might be my parents' favorite, which bothers me daily. With my brother being a straight-A student, an amazing athlete, who never does anything wrong, I always wonder if my parents favor him over me. My brother also never gets in trouble when talking back or doing anything wrong, which gets to me because it is quite the opposite for me. For a while, this put a toll on my relationship with my brother due to me being envious of the attention he receives, but as I've gotten older, I've grown to live with it.
Summary: Today in class we did a popcorn reading about a boy whos father accuses him of having an affiar with his mother. The dad forms a hatred for the son and abandons him. After reading the story we were put into groups to create a slide show analyzing the story.
Reflection: Today's reading made me relize that jelousy doens't get you anywhere it only digs you a deeper hole for yourself at the end of the day.
