Prompt: Write about a time when you were judged unfairly.
Prompt Response: A time that I was unfairly judged was this homecoming when I invited my friend Walker from Chamblee to come to Lakeside homecoming with me. I didn't have a date, so it was pretty last-minute. Walker is a very good friend of mine from church, I've known for years, so bringing him to my homecoming as friends didn't seem like a big deal to me. When I talked to my friends for their opinion, asking if it was a good idea, I idemitly got flamed, with people saying "That's embarrassing.", and "No one likes him," knowing no one in that group chat is actually friends with him and enough to judge him. This caused me to feel very self-conscious about bringing him to the different hoco activities throughout the night, thinking I'd be judged for bringing him. I ended up inviting him still, but the thought of being judged by my friends still lingered in the back of my mind throughout the night.
Summary: In class today, Mr. Rease wasn't here, so we had a sub and completed a common lit.
Reflection: In class today, I learned about what fear can teach us through the Common Lit we read in class.
