Of today’s 15 vocabulary words, which three do you think you will use the most in your speaking and writing this semester? Explain why each word feels useful or powerful to you.

Prompt Response: The words from our vocabulary list I will use the most throughout the semester are aminosity, aesthetic, and affinity. I would use the word "animosity" because when I think of it, I feel that it gives a stronger message across than other synonyms for the word, like "hated". The next word I will be using is "aesthetic." I like this word and the meaning behind it, it gives more meaning when describing something rather than using words like "cute" or "pretty". The last word is "affinity". I like the sound of this word, which automatically made it easy to remember the meaning, so I will use it more throughout the year, already having the definition memorized.

Summary: In class today, we reviewed 15 vocabulary words and created sentences that included these words. We then continued to work on other activities to help practice our vocabulary.

Reflection: I learned the meaning of many new words today.
