Prompt: In 2–3 well-developed sentences, reflect on how you spent your Holiday Break. Then, identify four personal you would like to achieve this year and briefly explain why each goal is important to you (Copy and paste your completed response from Writable into your blog).

Prompt Response: I spent my break with the flu, but was still able to enjoy it because I was surrounded by my family. I got a chance to see my grandpa and cousins, whom I see only once or twice a year, which made my Christmas. The goals I would like to achieve this year are to become more organized, drive alone on the highway, babysit more, and find a new hobby. Each of these goals is important to me because they all help to grow responsibility and give me more ways to use my free time rather than being on my phone.

1. The first goal I would like to achieve this year is to become more organized. This goal is important because it will help me keep on top of my work and will allow me to live in a clean workspace.  By April, 2026, I plan on accomplishing this goal by spending 10 minutes a day cleaning up little things in my room so it's constantly clean. I will also start using a planner to keep my life and work organized.

2. My second goal I would like to accomplish is to drive on the highway alone. This goal is important because it's necessary in life as a driver, and it grants me more independence. To accomplish this goal, I will start driving with my parents on the highway once a week to get practice along with taking in tips from experienced drivers on how to stay safe on the highway. I plan on accomplishing this goal and driving without a parent on the highway by September 2026.

3. My third goal of the year is to babysit more. This goal is important because it grows responsibility and allows me to make money. I plan to accomplish this goal by March 2026 by posting babysitting advertisements on Facebook groups once a week along with contacting neighbors with kids letting them know I'm able to babysit.

4. My fourth goal of the year is to find a new hobby I enjoy, This goal is important because it gives me something to do in my free time rather than sitting on my phone. By October 2026, I plan to achieve this goal by researching hobbies and trying at least 2 new hobbies a month until I find what I enjoy.

Summary: We went over the classroom rules and completed a wriatble on New Year's resolutions.

Reflection: The writable allowed me to think deeper about what I want to accomplish this year.
