Prompt: Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?

Prompt Response: A time that I took a hiatus from something important was when I took a break from guitar. Quarantine in the 7th grade made it impossible to meet with my guitar teacher; we had to do Zoom calls, which isn't very helpful for a middle schooler learning the guitar. Although I had been playing the guitar for three years at that point and loved it, I started to dread our Zoom calls, which led us to call once every other week, and I became increasingly uninterested. I decided to take a hiatus from guitar and soon regretted it because my "break" from playing guitar eventually led me to fully quit. Although I didn't care at the time because it gave me more free time, today I still wish I played because it gave me something to do, and I was good at it when I was younger. If I continued to play today, I would have been really good.

Summary: We practiced more literary devices.

Reflection: The practice helped me to understand the literary term better.
