Prompt: Describe how you spent your time, any activities, traditions, travel, hobbies, or moments that stood out to you. You may also discuss something new you tried, something you learned, or how the break helped you reset before returning to school. Keep your response appropriate for a school setting and focus on experiences you are comfortable sharing publicly

Prompt Response: Over the break I went to Coco Beach with 3 of my friends. It was so much fun and I miss it so much, the beach is my favorite place. It got me so excited for spring break and summer. When I got back in town I celebrated my birthday with all my friends, shopping and getting dinner with my family. To soak in every moment of the break Sunday night I went with my friends to get Menchies frozen yogurt. This made me excited to see all my friends at school but sad I actually had to go to school. But there's much to look forward to with prom and spring break.

Summary: In class today we read a poem and identified it's similes and metaphors.

Reflection: This helped me practice identifying metaphors because sometimes they can be difficult.

Prompt: As you grow older and face new experiences, what issue or topic do you think you'll have to stand up and debate most often, whether with friends, family, or society?

After reading Lawrence Ferlinghetti's poem "Constantly Risking Absurdity," which explores the poet's daring craft, write about your most absurd personal experience. Describe a single, specific incident that felt ridiculously bold or foolish. Ensure your response is vivid, concise, and captures the essence of absurdity.
